Q. What is Organic Guano?
A. Organic Guano™ is collected bat droppings, rich in nitrogen,
phosphorus, potassium, and other organic ingredients. It is a rich and
concentrated fertilizer that will revitalize your plants.
Q. I cannot find the expiration date on the guano package. How long do I
have before the guano loses its effectiveness?
A. As long as the guano is maintained in a dry location, it will maintain its
potency for decades.
Q. Do you sell a pelletized form of the product?
A. We do not sell guano in pelletize form. The process of converting guano
to this form requires heating it to 200 degrees Celsius which effectively
destroys some of its rich organic matter, thus rendering the guano much less
effective.
Q. Is Organic Guano truly organic?
A. It is organic in the sense that the product is manually harvested
directly from caves in Indonesia without the introduction of any synthetic
or chemical additives. It is also certified by the Ministry of Agriculture
of Indonesia.
Q. How safe is Organic Guano around pets and children?
A. Over six thousand households have used the product without any reports of
safety problems. This product is completely natural and contains no
chemicals or additives.
Q. Where does Organic Guano come from?
A. Our guano is harvested from Indonesia, on the seashore of the Indian
Ocean approximately 100 kilometers from the nearest village of civilization.
Q. Who are the workers that gather the guano?
A. Organic Guano™ is collected by a team of 73 men employed from an extremely
poor region in Indonesia where unemployment is high and government support
is nearly non-existent. The employment of these 73 men means that they and
their families (approximately 300 people) are able to support themselves and
send their children (approximately 120 children) to school.
Q. Is the guano collected in an environmentally friendly way?
A. Organic Guano™ is collected manually using diggers, scoops, cotton masks and
lamp oil. There is no machinery involved. Consequently, there is no
resulting air, water, or noise pollution. The guano is collected under the
awareness and agreement with the government of Indonesia to protect the
natural habitat of this beautiful coastal region.
